Some apps don't seem to handle the cache management on the new Palm devices properly. This causes seemingly random crashes.

Cache Crashing Apps

  • Syncback 1.4
  • Keyshades Hack
  • Clipper v2.12
  • Quickswitch v1.52
  • KBLightsOff v1.2.1 (one report)
  • Fontsmoother v2.10 ?? (one report of problems. Fontsmoother 2.21 seems to be fine, and the author reports that there shouldn't be an issue as fontsmoother is loaded into protected memory)
  • Snapcalc 5.6.3
  • ClipPRO I was unable to run the PalmInternals program or clear my cache until I removed ClipPRO, then both worked fine. Went to ClipPRO site, found out that you have to lock it with Resco for it to work on the newer treo/centro, reinstalled ClipPRO, locked it with Resco, and now all works fine.
