From version 3.52, Initiate can support custom application icons. This lets you change the appearance of any app by simply adding a gif file to your sd card with the name of the application.

The image above shows phwelo's icons with the standard skin and a cloud background.

How to use custom icons

  1. Create the folder Icon in the DCIM folder in your SD card \DCIM\Icon
    1. If you are using a lifedrive, then create the folder in the Lifedrive drive.
  2. To replace the icon for Filez, add a gif called Filez.gif or a bitmap called Filez.bmp
  3. Update Initiate's list once (menu/update)

Notes for Creating Icons

  • Icons should ideally be 44*44 pixels (48*48 is ok)
