When your Palm resets, there is normally a crash message generated by the system. This will tell you what application was running in the foreground at the time of the crash (NB. This is not necessarily the application that caused the crash) and will sometimes give you useful information about what went wrong.

You can get the details of the last crash on your Treo by dialing #*377. A few carriers have different numbers; Details are at Palm

The easy way to monitor crashes is to use an application like Reset Doctor that logs all crash messages for easy viewing.
